Menggunakan sensor kamera Sony Exmor RS IMX318 yang memiliki sensor size 1/2.6" dan pixel size 2µm. Tidak tanggung-tanggung, untuk lensanya hape Xiaomi Mi Note 2 ini mengusung resolusi hingga 22.5 megapiksel dengan fasilitas seperti aperture f/2.0, EIS (gyro), phase detection autofocus, dual-LED (dual tone) flash, face detection, HDR, dan panorama. Di sisi depan Mi Note 2 dibekali sensor Sony IMX268 beresolusi 8 megapiksel, namun tidak dilengkapi autofocus.
